The Chocorua Map app serves as a mobile guide for exploring trails and points of interest (POIs) in the vicinity of Chocorua Lake, with a particular focus on areas preserved by the Chocorua Lake Conservancy (CLC).

By enabling location services, users can effectively navigate and track their position on the map. The app provides detailed information when tapping on a trail, including its name, length, and the specific distance from both the beginning and end points. Additionally, users can measure distances and compass bearings by manipulating the map interface.

The application features a background map created from LiDAR topography, boasting a resolution of 1 meter. Publicly accessible lands are marked with transparent color overlays, enhancing the user’s understanding of different terrains.

Within the app, users will find descriptions of historically significant sites, unique geological features, and ecological insights. There is also an option for users to create personal POIs, allowing them to include custom descriptions and attach photographs. Importantly, all user-generated content stays private to their device unless shared via standard iOS options.

Notably, the Chocorua Map app operates independently of an internet connection, ensuring its usability in remote areas. User data remains secure, as it is never uploaded automatically to the internet by the app developer or any affiliated parties.
